Oops, it has been six months since I last posted. The Google webstat counter has been showing a downward trend so thought I had better put fingers to keyboard!
When I last posted just before Christmas there was frost on the ground. Now we are well into a blazing
summer, Football is coming Home apparently and we are still no nearer to a Brexit solution. The end of June marked my third anniversary as a freelance photographer. I am quite pleased to have made it thus far without having to get a regular 9-5 job again. This third year has been harder, some of my regular customers are cutting back and I've had to find other ways of making the business work.
On the upside though there have been several new clients this year and I've also enjoyed a foray into world of fleamarkets- which came about as a result of buying and selling vintage film cameras at auctions. Very often these were part of a job lot of other items and rather than just junk the stuff I didn't want, I now have a stall once a month at the Frome Fleamarket. I really enjoy meeting customers there and 'doing a deal'. Has proved quite lucrative as well.
Those of you who follow me on Facebook and Instagram will also know I have rented out a 'studio' space at Trowbridge Town Hall and converted it into a darkroom for Black & White photography. My aim is to run workshop sessions there for anyone interested in the dark arts of film processing and printing. My rent is in a small way helping to keep the historic Trowbridge Town Hall open.

Last but not least, I've made a few changes to the website - my Instagram feed can now be found on the Blog page. There is also a new GDPR policy on the site . Here's hoping for long hot and lucrative summer.
Stay cool :)
